New Hagonoeño Priest from Iba Ordained

Fr. Garry Medina Clemente had his
Prima Misa Solemne in the Parish
of St. Anthony of Padua in Iba,
Hagonoy, Bulacan on May 12, 2012.

 HAGONOY, BULACAN - After Fr. Edward Cruz Pecson's (Sta. Monica) ordination in 2011 another priest from Hagonoy has been ordained to the priesthood. Rev. Fr. Garry Medina Clemente was ordained at Malolos Cathedral by the Most Rev. Jose F. Oliveros, D.D., Bishop of Malolos on May 7. 

    Fr. Clemente was born on November 4, 1976 to Antonio de Leon Clemente, Jr. of Iba Oeste, Calumpit, Bulacan and Anatolia Fajardo Medina of San Juan, Hagonoy, Bulacan. Although their family lived in Calumpit, Fr. Clemente's family have been parishioners of St. Anthony of Padua in Iba, Hagonoy. Before he entered the seminary, he was first a nurse who finished his bachelor's degree in Wesleyan University Philippines in Cabanatuan City. He received the two year ecclesiastical requirement for philosophical studies and the four year requirement for theological studies at the Immaculate Conception Major Seminary, Tabe, Guiguinto, Bulacan where finished in 2010. He was ordained deacon at the seminary theologate chapel on November 28, 2011 and was ordained a priest within the year of the Golden Jubilee of the Diocese of Malolos.

      He presided over his Prima Misa Solemne in the Parish of St. Anthony of Padua on May 12 that was attended by his classmates and his friends and family. Rev. Msgr. Andres S. Valera, H.P., Vicar General of the Diocese of Malolos, Rector of the Immaculate Conception Major Seminary and a fellow priest from Hagonoy was the preacher during the said celebration.     With his inclusion into the list, Fr. Clemente is now 111th according to the present 2011 list of priests from Hagonoy, Bulacan. His ordination to the priesthood  has given us a another reason for thanksgiving for more priestly vocations in the town. KAKATHA News Admin.
